All of the work displayed in the exhibit was created by artists on the autism spectrum. The purpose of this exhibit is to celebrate their creativity and talents. The artists each have a unique view of the world, and the collection as a whole allows visitors to catch a glimpse of life as seen by people on the spectrum.

Through Our Eyes: Call for Artists
I'm honored to be helping curate and organize Through Our Eyes, and art exhibit dedicated to art created by people with autism spectrum disorder and related neurodevelopmental disorders. The show will open on March 18 at the Museum of Work in Culture in Woonsocket, RI (http://www.rihs.org/museums/museum-of-work-and-culture/).
We are looking for all types of art, traditional 2D and 3D artwork as well as digital media and performance. As there is limited time to organize the show I am primarily looking for artists who can get their work to Rhode Island easily, so a proximity to Providence, RI or Hartford, CT is a bonus.
The deadline for submission is February 3, 2017. Submissions should be emailed to RICart@Lifespan.org or you can email me at matthewjbest@gmail.com. You may submit up to five pieces. It is my intention to show at least one piece per artist. Artwork that celebrates the theme of the exhibition are welcomed.
